Fitzpatrick: ‘Knock Out Hunger’ Brings Out the Best of Bucks
WARMINSTER, PA – Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-8) released the following statement Friday regarding the United Way of Bucks County’s annual ‘Bucks Knocks Out Hunger’ event held at Ann’s Choice Retirement Community:
“Last week I was overwhelmed at the generosity of Middletown and Levittown neighbors following the fire at the Racquet Club Apartments which left nearly 100 homeless. Today is another example of the Bucks County coming together to support those in need.
Thanks to the selfless dedication and charity of neighbors, organizations and groups county-wide today’s event was a major success- packing over 100,000 meals for community food pantries.
I applaud the effort of all the participants, volunteers, and donors that made this year’s ‘Bucks Knocks Out Hunger’ a success. I look forward to continuing to work closely with community organizations to get our neighbors a hand up.
The United Way’s slogan is ‘Be the Change’. Today, Bucks County is the change.”
