Langhorne, PA – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) recognized June as LGBT Pride Month:

"This month, and every month, I am proud to recognize the Bucks and Montgomery County LGBT community. This is a time when we all come together as family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the advancement of equality for all Americans.  We must acknowledge that we’ve seen an increase in crimes committed with hateful intent. I am appalled by last month’s anti-LGBT protest and assault at Central Bucks West High School. These actions run contrary to our community’s ideals of tolerance and diversity. In the face of these hate-based incidents, we must stand together, resolute in the pursuit of justice. No person should ever feel threatened based on who they are, what they believe, or how they worship. While we take this month to celebrate advancements made in civil rights, we must work to disarm intolerance and stand together to promote the equality and dignity for all Americans."

Last month, Fitzpatrick took to the House floor to recognize the 15th Annual New Hope Pride Parade in Bucks County. The New Hope Pride Parade stands as the only nationally recognized event of its kind that crosses state lines.
