Langhorne, Pa— Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08), a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released a statement following the death of Ari Fuld, an American-Israeli, stabbed by a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist.
“We grieve at the loss of Ari Fuld, an American-Israeli who was murdered by a Palestinian terrorist south of Jerusalem. Our prayers are with his family and his four children. As a defender of Israel, Ari relentlessly advocated for the safety and security of the Jewish People. May his heroic memory be a blessing for all of us.”
“The Palestinian Authority must end its horrendous practice of rewarding terrorists for killing Jews. Incentivizing terror and murder will never lead to peace or be tolerated. The United States will continue to stand with our Israeli allies. Enactment of the Taylor Force Act earlier this year ensures that U.S. taxpayer dollars do not subsidize terrorist attacks on American citizens and our allies.”
In March, Congress enacted the Taylor Force Act, which would cut certain aid programs to the Palestinian Authority until they end payments to terrorist and their families. The few exceptions include US funding for Palestinian water and childhood vaccination programs as well as funding for hospitals in East Jerusalem. Taylor Force, a West Point graduate and veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, was murdered by a Palestinian while touring Israel as a civilian.
The Palestinian Authority maintains a fund to pay a monthly stipend to the families of Palestinians killed, injured, or imprisoned for committing acts of terror against Israel. The program is known as ‘pay to slay.’
