WASHINGTON, D.C. Yesterday, the Congressional Ukraine Caucus Co-Chairs, Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Andy Harris (R-MD), and Mike Quigley (D-IL), released the following statement reiterating their unconditional support for Ukraine in the face of continued Russian aggression:

“As Russia amasses tens of thousands of troops along Ukraine's border, makes unacceptable demands regarding NATO and Ukraine, and threatens ‘military-technical action’ if its conditions are not met – the need for resolute American leadership is greater than ever.

“It is essential for the U.S. and our global allies to speak clearly and with one voice about the severe repercussions the Kremlin will suffer if it escalates its illegal war against Ukraine.

“Sending Secretary Blinken to Kyiv and the rapid deployment of an additional $200 million in military aid to Ukraine are welcome and critical steps. We should also expedite clearances allowing U.S. military equipment to be transferred from NATO allies and partners to Ukraine, and begin working with NATO immediately to enhance force posturing among Eastern European members.

“These concrete maneuvers will signify the alliance’s commitment to deterring further Russian aggression, and make clear that an invasion of Ukraine will not go unanswered.”
