Langhorne, Pa— Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) will attend the U.S. Capitol Ceremony on Friday for the late Senator John McCain and pay his respects to the McCain Family. Senator McCain will lie in state in the Rotunda of the Capitol building.

“We have a lost a true American Hero and a genuine profile in courage. Senator John McCain lived his entire life towards serving our nation. As a military hero, senator, and devoted family man, he served others with dignity, honor, and selflessness. His steady presence and wisdom will be sorely missed. His independence and integrity will forever serve as a model for public servants,” said Fitzpatrick. “May we all take Senator McCain’s legacy to heart, and always take the high road, even when it is challenging to do so. My prayers are with his family and all those who loved him.”

Following a private ceremony with the McCain Family and Members of Congress, a public viewing will be held from 1:00PM to 8:00PM. Visitors are welcome to enter through the Capitol Visitors Center (CVC). While there are no reservations, this ceremony is expected to be widely attended.
