LANGHORNE, PA – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) is currently seeking motivated college or post-graduate students to intern at both the Langhorne, PA or Washington, D.C. offices for the Spring 2018 semester.
Congressional internships are great opportunity for Bucks and Montgomery county students interested in the legislative process, public service and learning more about the inner-workings of our federal government. Interns will join with Pa-08 staff in performing a variety of tasks, including: answering phones, writing letters, assisting with constituent casework or helping with projects of importance to our community. Interns may also have the opportunity to engage in policy discussions and meetings pertaining to their areas of study or personal interest. Applicants should be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week through the Spring semester.
For consideration, please submit a resume and two letters of recommendation - one from an academic instructor and a second from a direct supervisor (ie: boss, coach, or community leader) – along with a response to the prompt; “What is the role of the Legislative Branch in the United States Federal Government?” (no-longer than a two pages, double-spaced).
