LANGHORNE, PA – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) will host a second information session for Bucks and Montgomery county students seeking nominations to military service academies on September 13th from 7pm to 9pm. The session will be held at Holy Ghost Preparatory School, Firebird Fieldhouse - 2429 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020.
Fitzpatrick's staff will be joined by representatives from the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. There also will be representatives from the Reserve Officers Training Corps, together with cadets and midshipmen who can talk about their experiences in the different programs.
“I encourage students interested in a service academy – especially those who were unable to attend our August session - to join us on September 13th,” said Fitzpatrick. “We will guide students through the rigorous process towards earning an academy nomination. Our tema looks forward to meeting and working with Bucks and Montgomery county students interested in serving our armed forces.”
Recommendations are assisted by Fitzpatrick’s Service Academy Nomination Committee, which includes active duty and retired military members from the Eighth District.
While the session is primarily intended for high school juniors and seniors, sophomores seeking more information may also attend.
