WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Chairman of the National Intelligence Subcommittee of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, recently led a series of intelligence meetings in Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. 

The purpose of Congressman Fitzpatrick’s CODEL was to assess national security and intelligence-related matters with counterparts in Asia and strengthen the relationship between critical strategic partners in the region. 

Congressman Fitzpatrick met with Sandra Oudkirk, Director of the American Institute in Taiwan; Wellington Koo, Secretary-General of the National Security Council for Taiwan; Hosaka Yasushi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs for Japan; Kim Tae-hyo, Principal Deputy, National Security Advisor / Secretary-General of the National Security Council for South Korea, and American troops stationed overseas.

The National Intelligence Subcommittee oversees intelligence programs and strategic partnerships that safeguard U.S. national security. Through these meetings, Chairman Fitzpatrick gained valuable insights into optimizing collaboration with international allies and bolstering global security.
