PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Eagles have once again made history. Today, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), alongside a bipartisan coalition of Pennsylvania and New Jersey lawmakers, introduced a House Resolution celebrating the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

The resolution officially recognizes the Philadelphia Eagles organization for their historic Super Bowl LIX victory, celebrates their resilience, excellence, and the unbreakable spirit that define both the team and the city they represent, and pays tribute to the city’s legendary fanbase.

“Being an Eagles fan isn’t just about football; it’s a way of life. It’s a legacy passed down through generations—Go Birds is a phrase you learn young and carry with you for life,” said Congressman Fitzpatrick (PA-01). “That’s what makes the Eagles special—they ignite passion, forge community, and embody Philly’s relentless spirit. Under Coach Sirianni’s leadership, this team has become the gold standard of talent, grit, and heart. And on the world’s biggest stage, they proved once again that resilience defines champions. This victory is one for the ages, and now, the Lombardi Trophy is coming home where it belongs. Congratulations to Coach Sirianni, the players, and all the staff on this historic win and for making the millions of fans who bleed green so proud. Go Birds!”

“It’s a great day to be an Eagles fan — and a great day to represent the city of Philadelphia,” said Congressman Boyle (PA-02). “It’s my honor to introduce this resolution on behalf of my Philadelphia constituents and all Eagles fans. Our city could not be prouder of this team for overcoming the adversity they’ve faced and sticking together to bring the Lombardi trophy back home to the best sports fans in the country.”

“We are proud Eagles fans here in South Jersey and across the entire Philadelphia region as this remarkable team brings home the Lombardi Trophy. Led by South Jersey’s own Coach Nick Sirianni and MVP Jalen Hurts, the team dominated the field and flew high on the road to victory,” said Congressman Norcross (NJ-01). “The entire team showed up on Sunday to remind us that there is no substitute for hard work, and I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the Giants for the gift of Saquon Barkley. Congratulations to the entire Eagles organization, and I hope they enjoy their well-earned celebration. Go birds!”

“I’m happy to celebrate this win by our Eagles! One thing that stood out to me is how players have mentioned that the credit for this championship season belongs to the entire team,” said Congressman Evans (PA-03). “In football and in Congress, we get more done when we can work together.”

“As our Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said after we beat the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, 'you can’t be great without the greatness of others,'” said Congresswoman Houlahan (PA-06). “To the truly great players, coaching and support staff, facilities squad and every single Eagles fan who put their hearts into cheering on our team, congratulations! What a season! What a night! What a win!”

“Congratulations to our Super Bowl champions — you've made our whole region proud,” said Congresswoman Dean (PA-04). “Go birds!”
